MOVING ON WHEELS

An African tortoise moves across a pavement outside the Washington State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital.The artificial limb attached to it did not come from a high-tech prosthetics lab. It came from an Ace Hardware store. The caster-style wheel cost around 7 dollars according to the veterinarians who installed it on the tortoise after amputing a damaged front leg.
